Seagate release 3TB Hard Disk

Seagate have announced the release of the worlds first 3TB hard disk drive ensuring that they remain ahead of the rest of the market in providing large capacity storage hard disk drives.

The Seagate GoFlex Desk Hard Disk is available immediately and ensures home and business users can continue to store vast amounts of data as the data storage demands of even home users continues to increase. It is now acknowledged that most home users now have an average storage requirment of nearly a terrabyte of data which encompasses digital images, home movies, music and video downloads.

Seagate have also issued the drive with either Firewire or the standard USB2.0 interface, which can be upgraded in the future to USB3.0 which is now beginning to hit the market and this drive is as ever compatible for both MAC and PC. Further features of the drive include:

The drive is available in the US only for a price of $249 and carries a warranty of just 2 years. Whilst currently not available in the UK it is likely to hit the shelves in the UK quite soon.
